Noel Joan is a mixed media artist who lives and works in Staten Island, NY. She received her BFA with a minor in sociology from St. John's University in Queens. Noel continued her studies and earned an MFA from The School of Visual Arts in New York City. During her time as a graduate student, she interned with the Public Art for Public Schools program at the NYC School Construction Authority. Currently, Noel works full-time as a project manager at the NYC Department of Cultural Affairs, Percent for Art program, which commissions site-specific, permanent, public artworks for city-owned properties such as schools, parks, libraries, etc.
